The site

The site is hand-authored HTML and CSS, with a small Python build step that templates the masthead and footer across pages. There is no JavaScript framework; there is no client-side rendering; there is no analytics package; there is no third-party content beyond the typefaces. Pages are static files served directly from Cloudflare Workers Static Assets.

Typography: Fraunces by Phaedra Charles and Flavia Zimbardi, distributed via Google Fonts; Inter Tight by Rasmus Andersson; Geist Mono by Vercel. All three are served via the Google Fonts CDN with display=swap.

The visual register — the obsidian palette, the chronograph green, the bone wedge for content — was developed by reading too much about ice rinks at 03:14, race-control booths, post-punk record sleeves, and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography's benthic invertebrate collection interface. The "lane" terminology is borrowed without ceremony from speed-skating timing systems by MYLAPS and FinishLynx.

Imagery

Photographic imagery on this site is sourced from Lorem Picsum with deterministic seeds; portraits are stand-ins, not photographs of real Chronograph clinicians. The wall growth chart in exam room 03 is a real wall growth chart; it just isn't this one.

The references

Every protocol page and every transcript ends with a reference block. The references are real, the URLs resolve, and the citations were chosen to give the prose an evidentiary spine that a member could check, follow, and disagree with. Where a reference appears multiple times across the site (the USPSTF A&B list; the Menopause Society 2022 statement; SAMHSA's TIP-63), it is cited each time it is used.

The practice's reading list — the books we mention in our transcripts and which a member might want to read — is, in alphabetical order:

Vendors and partners

Lab work: Quest Diagnostics, picked up daily. EHR: Elation Health. Pharmacy partners: Cuthbertson Pharmacy on East Superior, West Duluth Pharmacy on Grand Avenue. Imaging partners: Essentia Health's Lake Avenue radiology; Aspirus St. Luke's for fibroscan and DEXA. Hospice: St. Croix Hospice Duluth office; Solvay Hospice House on Beverly Street. Physical therapy: Duluth Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation (Hjelmtvedt); the Lake Avenue practice (Larkin). Therapy referrals: see Lane 03.

The practice's standards

We follow the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force A & B recommendations as the floor. We are accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), accreditation number on file at the front desk. We follow the CMS conditions for participation as they apply to a non-billing practice; the HIPAA security rule applies to us regardless and we take it seriously.

The colophon's colophon

This page is set in Fraunces and Inter Tight, with Geist Mono for the structured elements. It was last revised in April 2026.
